Nusa Penida
World Class Diving on the South East Coast of Bali.
World Class Diving on the South East Coast of Bali.
Famous for its manta rays and Mola-Mola, Nusa Penida has some of the best drift driving in Indonesia! Comprised of three islands: Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Penida proper, reefs here vary from gentle slopes to dramatic drop offs and pinnacles. The currents are often very strong, the water crystal clear and usually 2-5 degrees cooler than other sites in Bali resulting in a profusion of marine life and the best chance of seeing pelagics.
Manta Point
Several similarly named points off the south coast of Nusa Penida with shallow submerged rocks and fish cleaning stations. Occasionally strong surge, but also suitable for snorkelers. Manta sightings guaranteed!
Crystal Bay
Best location in Bali for seeing molas! A shallow bay with deep sloping drop off and occasionally strong undertow, wall sections, cave and cleaning stations. Some experience recommended.
Toyapakeh
Drift dive on gentle sloping reef 10 – 30 meters deep. Pillars of coral, bommies and a profusion of marine life. Occasionally strong currents. Good chance of seeing pelagics.
Blue Corner
Coral slope on north west corner of Nusa Lembongan with 2 – 6 knot currents. Bali’s most famous drift! Second best place to see molas and rays. Experience recommended.
SD/Mangrove
Easy drift dives on the north coasts of Nusa Lembongan and Penida for all levels of experience. Between 5 – 25 meters deep. Also suitable for non-divers.
